Oh, hey. My name is Ryan. I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and in 2006 I joined the United States Navy. I served onboard the USS John L. Hall as an Operations Specialist until July of 2010 when I was honorably discharged. From there I attended Xavier University for graphic design until 2015 and began working full time at Revive Skateboards immediately after graduation. On a personal note, I really enjoy travel, live sports and music, and history.
After taking a year off to readjust back into the civilian world I enrolled at Xavier in the fall of 2011 to begin my college studies. In the spring of 2015 I completed my degree and began full time work at Revive Skateboards where I remained until January of 2024. Since then I have been working at Rokken Designs which is an apparel printing shop in Lower Price Hill.
Just a little bit more about me: I absolutely love to travel. I joined the navy to get out and see the world and have had the bug ever since. My most recent trip was to Japan and before that Iceland in the fall of last year. I have also traveled to England, France, Germany, Costa Rica, and much of the United States on top of the 25 or so countries I visited during my time in the military.
As soul crushing as it can be at times I still love Cincinnati sports. Some of my fondest memories are the relatively few times my teams have won when it mattered most. To me, there is nowhere better place in the world than a baseball game on a summer night. I’m also somewhat of a history nerd and really enjoy reading books on subjects varying from the Dust Bowl to the Apollo era of space travel. If I could, I would ride my scooter every day. Not only is it a reliable and economical vehicle, it’s just fun to get around on.
Lastly, having grown up a fan of punk rock and metal music and playing in a band, I still absolutely love those communities and seeing my favorite musicians means the world to me. If nothing else, it takes me back to that formative time in my life when my friends and music mattered the most. Also, there’s just something visceral about the experience of live music that cannot be replicated in any other medium.
In short, that just about sums me up. If you’ve taken the time to read this or have browsed any of my portfolio I just wanted to say thank you. And if you’d like to know more feel free to leave a message on the Contact page or send me an email at chambersryanp@gmail.com
