For the past 4 years at Revive, we put on a March Madness inspired contest called the Revive Skate 16 where our 242,000+ followers could vote on a discontinued deck to be restocked. Normally, once the initial run of a design sold out it didn't come back unless it sold extremely well and/or there was high customer demand.
Initially, we simply picked out 16 of the best selling graphics. Each year that after a theme was decided on and 2020’s was Red vs. Black since those are the core colors of the company and there were enough past designs to fit the theme.
Not only did the campaign increase customer engagement on Instagram but it also generated sales that we wouldn’t have otherwise gotten and gave us a better idea of exactly what the customer wanted. The winner of this particular year ended up selling and additional 169 boards after its original release.
